Makes 1 sandwich (with extra leftover sauce)
Ingredients
- Cheese
- 2 pieces of bread
- Crushed/canned tomatoes, plain tomato marinara sauce
- Basil
- Oregano
- Mild hot sauce
- Minced garlic
Instructions
- Grate or slice cheese (I use sliced orange cheddar)
- Butter both sides of each piece of bread
- Put grated or sliced cheese on one piece of bread and put the other piece on top
- Put the sandwich on the griddle and put the griddle on medium-high
- While the grilled cheese is cooking, pour the tomato stuff into a small pot on medium heat
- Add a pinch of oregano and basil and about half a spoonful of minced garlic *Optional: Stir in however much hot sauce you would like (I use about 2 or 3 spoonfuls of Cholula)
- Let the sauce heat up while you flip the grilled cheese (the cheese should be mostly melted and the bread browned)
- When the sauce and sandwich are done, eat up!!! ;)
