Easy Grilled Cheese with Tomato Sauce

Makes 1 sandwich (with extra leftover sauce)

Ingredients
  • Cheese
  • 2 pieces of bread
  • Crushed/canned tomatoes, plain tomato marinara sauce
  • Basil
  • Oregano
  • Mild hot sauce
  • Minced garlic

Instructions
  1. Grate or slice cheese (I use sliced orange cheddar)
  2. Butter both sides of each piece of bread
  3. Put grated or sliced cheese on one piece of bread and put the other piece on top
  4. Put the sandwich on the griddle and put the griddle on medium-high
  5. While the grilled cheese is cooking, pour the tomato stuff into a small pot on medium heat
  6. Add a pinch of oregano and basil and about half a spoonful of minced garlic          *Optional: Stir in however much hot sauce you would like (I use about 2 or 3 spoonfuls of Cholula)
  7. Let the sauce heat up while you flip the grilled cheese (the cheese should be mostly melted and the bread browned)
  8. When the sauce and sandwich are done, eat up!!! ;)
